Showcasing at the Matthew Williamson SS14 catwalk show at London Fashion Week on Sunday, The Azza Fahmy for Matthew Williamson Jewellery Collection will be available from Spring 2014 exclusively at the Matthew Williamson flagship store in London and Azza Fahmy boutiques.

The collaboration between the Egyptian luxury jewellery house Azza Fahmy and leading British fashion designer Matthew Williamson highlights the synergy between both brands and their love of global cultural- and travel references.

The collection's futuristic moodboard was created by Amina Ghali, Azza Fahmy's design partner and daughter. It reflects the architectural forms plus the cultural- and botanical elements that have inspired both brands for SS14 and explores how these translated into fashion and jewellery. 

The invitation to Matthew Williamson's London Fashion Week show gives further insight into the inspiration behind his SS14 collection and hints at the botanical and nature-inspired references that have inspired his latest designs. The fluid hand-drawn illustrations, including a delicate dragonfly that is as synonymous with Matthew Williamson's label as fabulous prints, also suggest a move away from the digital imagery that the designer has often utilised in seasons past.

Azza Fahmy's signature designs have a cult following and stars such as Rihanna and Gillian Anderson have been photographed wearing the pieces. The brand, renowned for its intricate craftsmanship and attention to detail, has previously collaborated with Preen, Julien Macdonald and the British Museum.

The 10-piece jewellery collection for Matthew Williamson includes tiered necklaces, large semi-precious rings, bracelets and earrings, and will be available in Azza Fahmy's trademark silver and also gold.
